You have probably heard of project-based learning, but not many are familiar with the similar concept of task-based learning. Either way, dip your toes into how to make real-world connections in any classroom and inspire learners who can see themselves actually putting their knowledge into action. In this session, you will learn what task-based learning is, some reasons to try it, and you will get the opportunity to build a lesson around a task with the presenter.

AI and Students: The Good, the Bad, and How to Cite!
Tuesday July 15, 2025 1:35pm - 2:20pm EDT
Students are using AI, and what an amazing resource it can be to help them
understand complex topics! Breaking down concepts, acting as a thought
partner and providing study aide are incredible ways that students can and
should be using AI. Of course, there are also concerns when it comes to AI that
both students and teachers need to be aware of. When does the use of AI
become cheating? What is bias? What are hallucinations? How can students be
good critical thinkers when utilizing AI, and what does it mean to be transparent
when using it? We address all of these topics and more in this session.
