HANDS Developmental Disabilities/ASD ECHO Webinar Series: Accessibility of Information, Resources and Case-Based Mentoring
Tuesday July 15, 2025 9:45am - 10:30am EDT

This session will focus on sharing about and experiencing the dynamic HANDS ECHO Webinar Series.  The HANDS ECHO series uses a community-informed framework through an evidence-based, tele-mentoring platform and process, designed to foster collaboration among educators. This approach fosters a deeper understanding of a specific topic or behavior (in this case, Executive Functioning) by engaging participants in real-world, case-based learning, which helps to increase knowledge, improve perceptions and attitudes, and expand the application of strategies grounded in Evidence-Based Practices. Participants will explore how this platform can serve as a community of practice, offering real-time, case-based learning opportunities, while also considering how this can be a part of their ongoing PD offerings and those extended or encouraged among their broader communities. The session will also provide a mini-ECHO demonstration – a dynamic way to experience the power of ECHO firsthand!

The Arc of Arithmetic to Algebra
Tuesday July 15, 2025 1:35pm - 2:20pm EDT
The foundations of number sense and algebraic thinking developed in Grades K–2 are essential for
upper-elementary, middle school, and high school mathematics, yet they are often misunderstood.
In this highly interactive session, we will explore the progression of learning spanning from
kindergarten to secondary mathematics. Using a variety of manipulatives from hand2mind,
participants will experience how skills developed in the early years prepare students to use
the distributive property with whole number and fraction computation and polynomial
computation in Algebra I. No matter what grade you teach, you will find something to use with
your students to propel them forward.

both students and teachers need to be aware of. When does the use of AI

good critical thinkers when utilizing AI, and what does it mean to be transparent
